Dia, the Spanish discount grocery retailer that was formerly part of French giant Carrefour, has seen gross sales jump 7.4 per cent during the first quarter of the year, up to €2.82bn.
According to the group, adjusted earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation climbed 15.1 per cent to €113.5m, Planet Retail said, while adusted net income soared by 51.5 per cent to €20m.
By the end of the first quarter, the discounter owned 6,826 stores across seven different markets, including Argentina, Brazil, China, France, Portugal, Spain and Turkey.
