Following the successful launch of the ‘Naked Fruit’ range in the UK, Del Monte has teamed up with retailer Budgens to develop Naked Fruit hand-held pots.
The product, which comes in a variety of sizes and varieties, is competitively priced at £1 (€1.17) a pot, the company said, in order to make it affordable to those hit by the recession.
James Harvey, managing director of Del Monte UK, commented: “Del Monte is committed to maximising consumer access to quality fruit at affordable prices so that as many people as possible can enjoy the health benefits and great taste of Del Monte fruit.”
The Naked Fruit pots - available in mango, tropical fruit salad, fruit salad, melon and pineapple - will be supported by a number of promotional initiatives, Del Monte said, including customer-focused media and promotional activities designed to raise consumer awareness.
