”The maritime logistics industry faces increasing pressure to enhance operational agility and sustainability while managing complex global supply chains,” DCSA stated.

”Through DCSA+, partners gain access to pioneering discussions, collaborative projects, and direct influence in setting digital standards.”

The programme is designed to empower stakeholders across the industry to share best practices, leverage collective expertise, and rapidly adopt innovations to address critical industry challenges.

Launched in March, the programme has quickly gained momentum with DB Schenker joining launch partners Lufthansa Industry Solutions and Vinturas in “paving the way for widespread industry participation”.

DB Schenker Ocean Freight delivers sea transport solutions to more than 700,000 customers across 130 countries.

By joining DCSA+, it expects to “strengthen customer relationships and deliver seamless integration, contributing to greater operational transparency and faster decision-making capabilities”.

“We are pleased to be part of DCSA’s partnership programme,” said Lee Hambleton, senior vice-president – global air and ocean processes and systems at DB Schenker.

”This collaboration enables DB Schenker to actively participate in shaping the future digital standards, including API frameworks, that will drive enhanced efficiency and interoperability across the ocean freight industry.

”By aligning with stakeholders from across the industry, we look forward to advancing digital integration, operational transparency, and sustainable solutions that ultimately deliver greater value to our customers and partners worldwide,” he outlined.

Mariana Bock-Losada, chief growth officer at DCSA, said the association was delighted to welcome DB Schenker to the DCSA+ partnership programme.

”Their extensive global reach and leadership in ocean freight logistics make them an invaluable partner as we continue to drive digital transformation and set new benchmarks for the industry,” she explained.

”The enthusiastic response to the DCSA+ programme demonstrates the collective appetite within our industry for innovative, interoperable solutions to boost efficiency, environmental sustainability, and customer satisfaction.”
