Third party logistics provider Damco has announced the appointment of Samuel Israel as its new regional CEO for the Latin America region.
With over thirty years of experience in the logistics industry, Israel has occupied a number of high profile positions in the region, including country manager for Mexico at Danzas and 12 years as CEO for DHL Global Forwarding Latin America.
Prior to Latin America, Israel, a French national, held various commercial and operational roles in France, including operations manager for Danzas and Ocean Freight Director for Panalpina before making the move to Latin America in 1999.
“Latin America offers great potential for our supply chain management expertise,' explained Damco CEO Rolf Habben-Jansen. 'We have ambitious plans on developing Damco throughout the region, notably in Brazil and Mexico as well as in the Andean region. Samuel’s considerable experience and local knowledge will enable us to capitalise on the significant opportunities in Latin America.”
