A new convenience retail format called Cup 'n Go, which specialises in ready prepared takeaway servings of sweetcorn and potato, has opened its first outlet in the Netherlands.
The chain, which is backed by Hamburg-based United Food Company and already operates a number of outlets under franchise agreements in Germany, has established the Dutch outlet as a pilot at Amsterdam'sSloterdijk railway station in order to gauge demand in the market.
The company sells a range of high-quality, organic sweetcorn dishes under the Masino brand, as well as steamed potato dishes under the Karmo trademark. A mix of the two is also being marketed using the Mixo name.
