French fresh produce supplier Crudi has broadened its 'Fruits to crunch' range at McDonald's outlets in the country, with the 'P'tite Orange' being made available since 9 January, according to L'Arboriculture Fruitière.
Using a new line at its factory in Toreilles, in Pyrénées-Orientales, Crudi is able to cut the oranges into quarters without peeling them.
The new product, which will be available until the end of April, joins a number of seasonal offerings supplied by Crudi to McDonald's, including melon, pineapple bars, Little Kiwi and Little Watermelon.
Between 2008 and September 2012, McDonald's France has sold more than 82m packs of fruit, or around 1,600 tonnes a year.
