In Brazil, Grupo Pão de Açúcar is set to rebrand its Extra Fácilconvenience store outlets to the Minimercado Extra fascia, according to Planet Retail.
The Casino-owned group is investing some BRL36m (US$15m) in the move, which will see stores with a greater focus on perishables and an average sales area of 300m2, 100 more than the existing Extra Fácil outlets.
According to Planet Retail, thegrocery retailer expects to complete the rebranding by the end of June 2012.
