The country’s first on-dock cold storage facility will streamline banana exports

Contecon Guayaquil has opened a state-of-the-art cold storage facility within the Port of Guayaquil. Developed in collaboration with Cool Carriers, the Guayaquil Banana Gateway is Ecuador’s first on-dock cold storage hub. It provides seamless cold chain continuity from cargo reception to shipment, significantly cutting waiting times, streamlining operations, and improving the condition of the fruit on arrival at its destination.
