Confagricoltura, the collective group made up of food industry leaders from the province of Salerno in Italy, has announced that it has elected Rosario Rago as its new president.
Mr Rago, the president of salad specialist Rago Group, will now head up an organisation consisting of over 3,000 members that has been operating for over 100 years.
According to Italian organic certification agency ICEA, Ragoboasts oneof the most advanced farms and packhouses for growing babyleaf lettuce in the country, growing and packing rucola, spinach, batavia, lamb lettuce and red chard for retailers and wholesalers.
'We are dedicated to bringing the best, freshest produce to your doorstep, Rago Groupsaid in a statement related to the appointment of Mr Rago at Confagricoltura.
