Compagnie Fruitière has guaranteed the business's 'continuity and stability' following its buyout of Dole Food Company's 40 per cent share in the company in May.
'This is a new phase in the development of Compagnie Fruitière,' the company stated in a press release.
The French firm revealed that the former Dole subsidiaries belonging to Compagnie Fruitière in France, the UK, Spain and Portugal would now come under the Compagnie Fruitière banner.
As of 1 July, Dole France 'Bananes' became Compagnie Fruitière France, its 'Fruits' activities are now managed by Compagnie Fruitière Import, while its 'Exotics' division is still handled by Exofarm.
Its UK, Spanish and Portugese subsidiaries will now be named, respectively, Compagnie Fruitière UK, Compagnie Fruitière España and Compagnie Fruitière Portugal.
