Sign up to Fruitnet Grape Congress tours today to avoid disappointment
Fruitnet Grape Congress delegates will have an opportunity to see first-hand what makes Puglia a powerhouse in table grape production by signing up to the delegate tours on 4 and 5 July.
Puglia has been a commercial centre for table grapes for many decades. It is also now a centre of renewal in varieties and growing practices, helping to re-establish Italy as a global force in table grapes.
Fruitnet Grape Congress lets you see at first hand this renewal underway in Italy. The first tour, which takes place on the afternoon of 4 July, will visit Frava, a family-owned company that has been growing and exporting premium table grapes for more than 50 years.
It then moves on to Cartonpack, a leading packaging supplier to the fruit and vegetable industry, where delegates will be given a tour of the facilities and learn more about how the company’s paper and cardboard packaging solutions are making table grape packaging more sustainable.
The second tour takes place the day after the congress, on the morning of the 5 July. Departing from Serroplast’s Rutigliano facility at 8:15am it visits three regional producers who are leading the charge when it comes to varietal renovation.
At the first, Soc Ag Valle Sana Di Giuliano Giovanni, delegates will see production of Arra Sugar Drop, developed by Grapa Varieties, while the second and third farms, Didonna Filippo and Viale Pezza di Paldo Arborea Giuseppe, will showcase a range of Sun World varietals.
Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis so to avoid disappointment delegates are invited to reserve their place as soon as possible.
