Colruyt saw sales for the final quarter of 2010 climb 7.2 per cent year-on-year to €1.94bn, as it fought off the impact of snow and icy weather in Belgium at the end of the year.
The discounter said that results were in line with expectations for the October-December period, which represents the third quarter of Colruyt's fiscal year.
The 7.2 per cent sales growth was actually down slightly on the 7.9 per cent increase seen through the first half of the group's calendar year, Reuters reported.
Colruyt said that it is holding on to its profit outlook for the financial year ending in March, forecasting a net income of €348m.
