Persian limes, bananas, avocados and passion fruit fuel increase in shipments between January and September
Exports of Persian limes, bananas, avocados and purple passion fruit grew strongly in Colombia in the first nine months of 2024.
According to the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Colombian agricultural exports grew 16 per cent between January and September.
Persian lime exports increased by 69 per cent, bananas by 48.6 per cent, Hass avocados by 42.4 per cent and passion fruit by 20.2 per cent.
The Netherlands, US, UK, Spain and Germany were the top five markets for Colombian fruit in 2023.
