Coastline Produce has announced in a press release the opening of a new 41,000ft2 cooling and loading facility in Castroville, California, located approximately 10 minutes outside of Salinas.
Coast American Cooling benefits from 12 refrigerated dock spots and parking for up to 45 line trucks, according to the company, which sources and distributes more than 25 different fresh produce items from California, Arizona and Mexico.
“This facility allows Coastline to further develop and customise our popular consolidation and cross-dock services for our customers,” Coastline said in the press release.
“Coastline’s new cooler features increased coldstorage space, added dock spots to help get customers get in and out as quickly as possible, a 70” scale, and much more.”
Coastline is a year-round grower-exporter of products including Iceberg and Romaine lettuce, Iceless broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, spinach and celery, among other items.
