Leading Spanish importer-exporter CMR Group has opened its new headquarters and logistics centre close to Barcelona's Mercabarna wholesale market.
The company, which imports and re-exports a wide range of fruits and vegetables from across Spain, Latin America and other sources, has established the new facility in order to cope with recent growth in its business and provide room for further expansion.
'The increase in commercial activity experienced by our company over the last few years has led us to seek larger spaces where we can base our plan for business growth,' CMR’s import-export director, Carles Martí Inglada, told Eurofruit.
The new site will enable the company to consolidate all of its packhouse operations on one site, alongside which its new head office will be housed.
CMR operates a number of Spanish ventures in Madrid, Leon and the Canary Islands, as well as subsidiaries in France, the Netherlands and Brazil.
