Fruits CMR and its subsidiaries, CMR Infinita and CMR Holland, have been granted Fairtrade certification for its bananas. Fruits CMR has also obtained IFS Logistics certification.
“These certifications are in addition to those previously granted to the group, GlobalGAP, GRASP and ISO, whose acquisition and ownership together confirms the good performance of CMR Group in the area of transparency and trust in supply chain management and such as the safety and quality of products marketed to guarantee their customers,” the company said.
“The concession of these is part of the continuous search by the multinational both for excellence in management, and for ensuring the supply of safe and quality products to the market.”
Fruits CMR is the parent company of CMR Infinita, its Madrid subsidiary, and CMR Holland.
The group recently announced plans to build a new logistics platform at CMR Infinita. The 5,000m2, will house coldstorage facilities, ripening rooms and office space and is the company’s latest investment Spain’s capital city, having previously expanded its presence at Mercamadrid where it now counts a total of nine outlets at the wholesale market.
