Shipping group CMA CGM has launched a new service connecting Europe and Australia, with the first ship calling at the Port of Hamburg ahead of a 31 day transit to Fremantle.
The NEW NEMO service is 'the most rapid connection between Europe and Australia, and the only direct one,' according to the group, operating with six CMA CGM vessels and six Hapag Lloyd vessels each with a capacity of 2,100 TEU-2,800 TEU.
Ports served by the service are Hamburg, Rotterdam, Le Havre, La Spexia, Damietta, Fremantle, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, Singapore, Port Keland, Chennai, Colombo, Damietta, Marsaxlokk, La Spezia and Tilbury.
The round trip takes 84 days, the group said, with regular weekly departures.
