The Italian arm of multinational fresh produce company Chiquita Brands International has launched a new smoothie containing banana, apple, orange, mango and passionfruit as it bids to boost sales of its '10 e Lode' Frullati range during the spring period.
The Mango & Passion smoothies will be sold in 250ml bottles and are designed to capitalise on demand for convenient and health-enhancing products among Italian consumers.
Speaking on behalf of Chiquita Italia, nutritionist and diet coach Samantha Biale said: 'The new Chiquita fresh fruit shake Mango & Passion is an ideal solution for quick and effective beauty care, because in addition to consumer convenience and satisfaction it can also make a fast-paced diet complete by bringing together the virtues of all fruits it contains. Its stimulating properties can have a really invigorating effect.'
Like other smoothies in the Chiquita range, the new Mango & Passion smoothie is totally free of additives, colourings, preservatives and added water or sugar.
Chiquita smoothies, which are sold in many of the major Italian supermarket chains, are lightly pasteurised in order to guaranteee the best taste and maximum food safety.
