Chiquita welcomed over 200 people to an information and interview fair in Charlotte on Saturday (25 February), in preparation for its move from its current headquarters in Cincinnati later in the year.
According to the Charlotte Observer, the event was held at Central Piedmont Community College, and offered visitors the chance to oversee the fresh produce multinational's future job offerings in positions of finance, logistics, corporate administration, customer service and administration.
On announcing its move to Charlotte last year, Chiquita said that it had offered its 400 corporate employees the chance to make the move, but a reported half have declined.
'We had a great chance to meet many experienced, qualified candidates from the Charlotte area,' said senior vice-president and chief people officer Kevin Holland in a statement. 'As we move closer to opening our new headquarters here in the summer, it's critical we identify and hire Charlotte's best talent.'
