Pallet and container pooling leader Chep has been named on Inbound Logistics' G75 list as one of the Top Green Supply Chain Partners, with the publication honouring the company for the third consecutive year.
Companies on the list were selected based on a number of criteria, including documented investment in green technologies, processes and systems, while industry analysts were asked to provide a list of companies they identified as environmentally friendly.
The citation given by Inbound Logistics in its June 2011 issue points out that shippers using Chep's pallet pooling system are achieving measurable gains reducing their environmental footprint.
'The Chep team is constantly reviewing our operations and those of our partners to uncover opportunities to increase the positive impact we have on the environment,' said Candice Herndon, Chep Americas' director of environment and regulatory affairs. 'We are honoured to join so many great companies on the Inbound Logistics' list of leading green supply chain partners, and will work diligently to make the list again next year.'
