Chandler Copps, a former director and then president of the US-based Produce Marketing Association (PMA) passed away earlier this month at the age of 78.
Mr Copps had an extensive career in the fresh produce market, operating as produce director at retail chain Copps Corp and being handed The Packer's Produce Merchandiser of the Year award in 1968.
In addition to his industry roles, Mr Copps founded several networking groups for leaders in different areas of the fresh produce business, The Packer reported.
