Freight forwarding and transportation specialist CH Robinson has further solidified its European position by opening a new office in Hamburg, Germany, while also promoting two new office managers.

The group has announced that Oliver Schmidt will manage the new road transportation office in Hamburg, which focuses on new customer sales and executing road transport services.

CH Robinson noted that opening of a road transport office in Hamburg not only provides logistics services to the German market, but also to a broad list of other European countries.

The Hamburg office is co-located with CH Robinson’s Hamburg global forwarding office in order to serve all kinds of supply chain and project logistics requirements.

In addition to the Hamburg opening, the group has named two new branch managers – Michel Datz and Jochen Mueller – for its offices in Basel, Switzerland, and Dusseldorf, Germany respectively.

“The addition of Oliver, Michel, and Jochen, along with the Hamburg office opening has solidified our commitment to the European region,” said Bryan Foe, president of CH Robinson Europe. “Our dynamic office network offers flexible, quality, and reliable service with the local knowledge that customers demand.”

CH Robinson has now built a network of more than 50 offices with over 1,000 employees throughout Europe, to become one of the leading transportation and logistics companies in the region, and has opened offices in Innsbruck, Austria, Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and Istanbul, Turkey in recent times.
