Groupe Casino has announced that its fourth quarter consolidated net sales were up on the same period of 2012, climbing 1.9 per cent to €13.1bn.
The French retailer said that change in scope, particularly the full consolidation of Monoprix, had a positive impact on sales of 3.9 per cent.
Domestically, organic growth improved compared with previous quarters but still stood at -1.4 per cent, although total sales jumped 10.3 per cent to €5.2bn.
Overall organic growth enjoyed an acceleration of 8.5 per cent, helped by an 'excellent' international performance where sales soared 14 per cent year-on-year – driven by its Brazilian performance in particular.
