Planet Retail revealed that the leading French retailer's evaluation programme is made up of four steps, beginning with the introduction of a transport framework for the group, consisting of 115 criteria broken down intoseven areas such as organisation and management structure, buying/sourcing, operational performance and performance monitoring.
In the second step, Carrefour's operations in Spain and Belgium have been closely examined, testing the newly set up framework, creating a database and best practices, lasting until year-end 2010.
