Camposol announced that it held its first Health Fair at New Chao, in the Peruvian province of Virú last weekend, providing free medical services to more than 600 people in the local community.
As well as services including dentistry, obstetric, physiotherapy, nutrition, psychology and lab testing, those attending were also offered haircuts, parenting talks, children’s entertainment shows and raffles, the company said in a press release. The Peruvian League against Cancer of Trujillo also contributed with gynecological and breast cancer-screening examinations.
The company said the event was made possible thanks to the support from the Virú Health Network, the municipality, and the community in general.
“Our goal is to create and develop healthy habits in citizens, which in turn will impact their personal, family and community health,” said Camposol’s corporate affairs manager Francesca Carnesella.
The fair forms part of Camposol’s Promote Healthy Families programme, which the company carries out in different communities of the regions of Piura and La Libertad.
