Camposol Fresh, the European sales office of Camposol Peru, has announced that it has received its first international certification after being awarded IFS-Broker V2 certification.
The Maasdijk-based company formed a special team to prepare for the implementation of the IFS standard, headed up by manager Sergio Torres, which was carried out in a record time of two months.
“For Camposol Fresh, the IFS Broker certification signifies a confirmation from an independent certifying agency that the internal processes of the company comply with different regulations, in terms of quality and food safety,” said Torres. “In this manner, we provide confidence to our customers, ensuring that Camposol and all of its suppliers meet the highest of standards for the products and services they provide. With this certification, Camposol also follows the demands of the retail industry which requires third-party audits.”
The company said the IFS standard is in line with its philosophy regarding excellence in quality, safety, customer and consumer satisfaction, and the search for a competitive edge in the market.
All Camposol production plants in Peru are IFS, BRC, HACCP and GlobalGAP certified, and throughout its European operations the company ensures that logistics providers also hold the relevant logistics and food standards certification.
“As a subsidiary of Camposol in Europe, Camposol Fresh aims to increase the quality of service provided to the company’s customers by understanding the market and its needs, ensuring compliance with international quality standards,” the company said, adding that it would serve as a launch pad towards other international certifications.
