The board of directors of Camposol has announced in a press release that Fabio Matarazzo di Licosa has resigned from his position at the company as chief executive officer.
As of 10 October 2011, Samuel Dyer Coriat, chairman of the board, will take on the additional role of CEO, becoming executive chairman of the board of directors.
“Fabio’s leadership in the past two years guided the company towards a new direction which will position Camposol to become a significant global player in the branded quality agricultural products,” explained Dyer Coriat.
“The board would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his dedication to the company and for having played a leading role in the opening of the US market for Peruvian Hass avocado, key event that our company was expecting and represents an important upside in the company's value and future financial results.
“The board wishes him the best in his future endeavors and has decided to invite him to join as a member, offer that he has gladly accepted. We are sure that in this new role, Fabio will continue to serve Camposol with his insights with special emphasis on marketing and sales.”
Dyer Coriat has a degree in business administration from the University of Miami, Florida, with a specialisation in finance and administration.
According to Camposol, he has broad experience in Peru's fishing industry, having occupied various positions in Copeinca, among them CEO and chairman of the board.
Dyer Coriat has also served as member of the board of Camposol since 2008 and as chairman of the board since 2011.
