As it continues to implement its strategic development plan for 2005-2014, potato specialist Campéol has made great progress this summer, according to the company.
Campéol has completed construction of a new 4,000m2, €8m building dedicated to potatoes. This is equipped with eight packing lines and a controlled temperature coldstorage facility with a capacity of 5,000 tonnes.
It also increased its funds by €500,000 in June, as it attempts to achieve its objectives for 2014. These include reaching 50 export countries with some 140,000 tonnes and diversifying its range to include carrots, onions and cabbages.
Lastly, the company revealed that it has gained its GlobalGAP certification.
