Fruit and vegetable buyers from several of Europe’s leading grocery retail chains are set to feature in a day-long stonefruit forum at this year’s Fruit Attraction trade fair in Madrid, Spain.
The event, which will run alongside the exhibition on 20 October, will include contributions from buying managers from Asda in the UK, Dutch chain Ahold, Russia’s Dixy Group, Prosol-Grand Frais in France and Spain’s own Eroski chain.
The buyers will take part in roundtable discussions on the state of Europe’s stonefruit market chaired by José Gandía, president of Grupo Royal and head of Fruit Attraction’s organising committee, in the Feria de Madrid exhibition centre’s pavilion seven.
The pavilion will also be the setting, on 19 and 21 October, for the event’s Innovation Forum, a showcase for new developments, products, packaging and promotions in the fresh produce sector.
