Northwest Cherry Growers has confirmed that the region shipped a record 10.3m boxes of cherries in June, more than double the 4.7m boxes seen in June 2012 as part of that year's record crop.
The organisation said that demand had outpaced supply on 'most varieties and sizes', The Packer reported.
June rainfall had impacted on some fruit in Oregon, with around 10 per cent of the crop estimated to have been lost.
