The Freshconex 2011 marketing campaign has been rolled out this week, designed to generate interest in the leading trade fair for the fresh produce convenience sector, which takes place in Berlin, Germany on 9-11 February next year.

Freshconex 2011 will once again welcome top-level buyers and other trade professionals from the food retail and foodservice sectors, with the 2010 event drawing over 7,000 trade visitors from around the world.

Taking place alongside Fruit Logistica at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, Freshconex will have its own dedicated entrance and take place in Halls 7.2a, 7.2b and 7.2c, ensuring maximum exposure for exhibiting companies and trade visitors.

'The fresh produce convenience sector is fully established in the food retail and foodservice landscape. Fresh-cut fruit and vegetables, fresh snack packs and fresh smoothies are among the range of products present in all retail chill-cabinets as well as foodservice and catering facilities,' event organiser Messe Berlin said in a statement. 'These ready-to-cook and ready-to-eat fresh products with a limited shelf-life continue to grow in popularity as a result of changes in meal preparation and eating habits.'

The application deadline for companies wishing to exhibit at Freshconex 2011 is 31 July 2010, with application forms available online at www.freshconex.com.
