French wholesaler Bratigny, a subsidiary of Omer-Decugis & Fils, has announced the acquisition of Marcellette SAS, a specialist in top-of-the-range fruit and vegetables based in Rungis, focused predominantly on domestic produce.
Marcellette’s clients include delicatessens, high-end caterers, operators of open-air markets in Paris and the surrounding areas, as well as ministries and embassies.
The purpose of the acquisition is to strengthen the group’s presence at Rungis wholesale market, further extending the company’s sales capacity.
The announcement follows the news that Bratigny has become a privileged partner of tomato specialist Savéol, joining Club Savéol, whose purpose is to promote the brand within Rungis.
Vincent Omer-Decugis, chairman of the board of Omer-Decugis & Fils, commented: 'We are delighted with the acquisition, which meets our development project on the Rungis market, strengthening our historical roots. With Marcellette, we are integrating a company with extraordinary know-how, led by a dynamic and highly invested team.”
