Bonduelle fresh-cut salad

At its annual general meeting (AGM) on 6 December, Bonduelle outlined its plans for a new management and organisational structure, to be introduced at the beginning of 2013 and fully operational by 1 July – the start of the 2013/14 financial year.

According to the France-based fresh-cut specialist, it will make changes to its organisational structure in a bid to adapt to new development projects and dimensions of activity, with the company organised around two geographic regions of 'European Area' and 'Outside European Area'.

The European Area segement will comprise two main business units. Bonduelle Long Life will cover all of the group's canned and frozen activities in Europe for the Bonduelle and Caddegrain brands, and private label brands, in retail and catering sectors, and will be led by Philippe Carreau.

Bonduelle Fresh will cover all the group's ready-to-use vegetable, fresh-cut salad and prepared salad activities in Europe, and will be managed by Pascal Bredeloux.

The Outside European Area segment will also cover two areas, meanwhile, Bonduelle Americas and Bonduelle development.

Bonduelle Americas includes all caned and frozen products in North and South America for the Bonduelle and Arctic Garden Brands and private label brands in retail and catering, headed-up by Daniel Vielfaure.

Finally, Bonduelle Development incorporates the group's activities and development in the rest of the world, particualrly Eastern Europe for Bonduelle and Globus brands, for all technologies and retail networks. It will be led by Benoit Bonduelle.

According to the company, these four general managers join CEO Christophe Bonduelle, HR manager Bruno Rauwel and financial managaer Grégory Sanson on the executive board.

'More efficient and more simple in how it works, with very little interference between business units, and based around short decision-making processes, this new organisational structure will enable dynamic relations to be created particularly between retail and catering professionals,' the group said in a statement.

'It will increase self-sufficiency in the teams, making them more flexible and more capable of adapting to the specifics of each market. It will also allow the group to pursue a whole host of development projects covering various technologies, geographical regions and distribution networks.'
