Bonduelle

French convenience group Bonduelle has announced a strong turnover of €1.77bn for the year to 30 June 2012, an increase of 2.4 per cent over last year.

In a press release, the group described the performance as 'pretty good' considering the current economic situation.

Although turnover in the Europe zone fell by 1.4 per cent at constant exchange rates, sales outside of Europe rose by some 13.9 per cent, reflecting the group's international expansion strategy, notably in Russia and North America.

At the beginning of 2012, Bonduelle took over the Cecab Group in Russia and the CIS, and Allens' frozen vegetable sites in the US, as well as Hungary's Kelet-Food in May.
