Convenience food specialist Bonduelle Group has announced an increase in like-for-like turnover of 4.9 per cent (at constant exchange rates) for the first quarter of the year, to a total of €464.3m.
Within Europe, Bonduelle recorded a sales increase of 3.1 per cent, the company's canned and fresh ready-to-use categories offsetting a decline in frozen caused by the fine September weather conditions.
Outside of Europe, growth reached 8.8 per cent, the group said, with dynamic activity both in eastern Europe, where the Russian embargo has had some impact, and in North America.
