French fresh-cut giant Bonduelle has announced plans to invest a total of €12m in Russia to boost production at its plants in the country.
According to Fructidor, the investment includes €6m to increase production at Timashyovsk from 22,000 tonnes to 45,000 tonnes in the next two years, as well as a further €6m to install irrigation systems on 2,600ha of farmland.
The company produces a yearly volume of approximately 95,000 tonnes of canned vegetables at its two Russian plants, in Timashyovsk and Novotitarovskaya.
