The France-based company highlighted stability in sales, which totalled €567.2mn across the three months, down 0.4 per cent on a like-for-like basis (-0.2 per cent reported) on the €568.5mn recorded in Q1 last year.

Branded products, at the heart of Bonduelle’s ’Transform to win’ transition programme, posted growth of 2.2 per cent on a like-for-like basis and 2.4 per cent on reported figures.

The impact of exchange rates between main currencies and the euro only had a marginal effect (up 0.2 per cent) on the group’s business activity over the period, it confirmed.

Looking ahead, Bonduelle said in a consumer environment still under pressure, it was confirming its stable sales and current operating income target on a like-for-like basis compared with the previous fiscal year.
