Biobest, the Belgium-based biological pest control specialist, used last week's Fruit Logistica in Berlin to launch a new smartphone application version of its 'Side effects manual'.
The manual lists crop protection agents and their compatability with pollinators and biocontrol agents, and is described as the 'backbone of every sustainable crop management scheme' by Biobest.
'The 2012 release of our new generation side effects manual marks a further milestone in integrated crop management,' The group noted. 'Our researchers at Biobest Green Lab have completely re-evaluated and updated the list. They incorporate the latest results from our own exclusive compatibility studies, as well as published data and new legislative regulations.'
The app is available for the Apple iOS, Android and Blackberry platforms, and can be downloaded at either the app store or on the group's website.
