In addition to the three-day trade and exhibition show, Fruit Logistica 2012 will also boast an impressive lineup of supporting events that visitors to Berlin can enjoy next year.
The event, which takes place at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds on 8-10 February, includes a conference programme offering representatives from the international fresh produce trade in-depth information in a series of seminars and panel discussions focusing on current market issues, problems and industry trends.
Six hall forums will be presented in Hall 26 during the three-day event, organised by Fruchthandel Magazine and covering topics including optimising urban retail logistics, how to handle crisis management, the global citrus market, the new banana business, regional sourcing on an international scale, and innovation in the fresh produce business.
These are preceded by the 31st Fresh Produce Forum, which takes place at the ICC Berlin on the day before the trade fair opens (7 February), and this year runs under the theme 'Sourcing 2020'.
Numerous awards will be handed out at Fruit Logistica, including the Fruchthandel Magazine Retail Award 2012 and the Fruit Logistica Innovation Award 2012.
