Benedict Horsbrugh of leading international fresh produce group Univeg will make the keynote address at Fresh Produce India on 25-27 March in Mumbai.
Benedict, director of quality management for Univeg Germany, will share his vision of where he sees the global fresh produce business heading in the next five to 10 years in the opening session of Fresh Produce India entitled ‘India in the global context’.
As well as addressing the role of factors such as retail consolidation, technical standards and emerging markets in shaping the global fresh produce trade, he will look at where India fits into this context, and what the country must do to capitalise on the opportunities that continue to go begging.
Univeg Group is one of the world’s largest fresh produce groups, with operations in 23 countries worldwide and logistics subsidiaries all over Europe. As director of quality management for fruit and vegetables for Univeg Germany, Horsbrugh plays a key role in developing the company’s sourcing of fresh produce from India.
