Maritime service provider Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) has warned its clients not to deliver cargo to ports in Belgium on 30 January due to a nationwide strike against austerity measures, IFW has reported.
The strike, which apparently involves dockers, pilots and tugboat and lock operators, is set to impact all ports and airports and is expected to have a knock-on effect on services all week long.
ISS has reportedly been informed, unofficially, that port terminals will be shut between 6am on Monday to 6am on Tuesday.
