Bananas remain the number one choice for Irish parents with babies and toddlers, according to the results of the annual National Parenting Product Awards.
The competition has only been running for five years, yet Freddy Fyffes, the prepacked bananas from Irish banana producer Fyffes, once again claimed top prize in the Food and Feeding section, the fourth time it has won the award.
The results were based on research from Millward Brown among parents and experts in Dublin, Cork and Limerick.
Emma Hunt-Duffy, Fyffes’ marketing manager, accepted the award at a prize-giving ceremony at the Westbury Hotel in Dublin.
“At a time when parents are becoming more and more conscious of the food their little ones eat, we are delighted that Freddy Fyffes has once again been recognised for its natural and nourishing qualities,” she said.
