More than 600 members of the global banana industry are expected to gather in Miami in May for the 8th International Banana Congress, organised by the National Banana Corporation of Costa Rica, Corbana.
Under the theme ‘Megatrends of the banana industry’, the conference will discuss the most important issues affecting the global banana industry, including the advances made in the fight against Fusarium Tropical Race 4, climate change, market trends and transport and logistics.
“The three-day event will bring together representatives from the five continents to share the latest results of scientific research and trends in logistics, markets and the future of the banana industry after 2020,” Corbana said.
“More than 30 specialists will share their knowledge, ideas and opinions in a full programme of presentations, panel discussions and debates.”
The congress will take place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Miami on 29-31 May, 2019.
