British Airways World Cargo has announced a reduction in its fuel surcharge, down to £0.51/US$0.75/€0.75, to come into effect from 1 December 2008.

The move follows a second successive week that the fuel index has been below the level 15 threshold, the company said.

'We are reducing the fuel surcharge following another decline in fuel prices,' said Adam Carson, senior manager of revenue management at British Airways World Cargo.

The group recently reported that commercial revenues (flownrevenue plus fuel surcharges) grew to £363m (€446.2m) during the second quarter of the year, an increase of 25.2per cent against the same period of 2007.
