New figures from the Estacom Statistical Service published by Hortoinfo show that Spain's aubergine exports during the 2013/14 campaign grew 14.97 per cent to 141.3m kgs, up from 122.9m kgs last year.
According to the service, the value of shipments throughout the season came to €126.69m, while average prices stood at €0.90 per kg.
The EU took on 95 per cent of exports, with France standing as the leading importer, taking on some 44.14m kgs.
