Juan Varilias, the president of the Peruvian Exporters Association (Adex), has retained his title for another term, according to a press release from the organisation.
Mr Varilias is now looking to meet with Peru’s presidential candidates Keiko Fujimori and Ollanta Humala as well as elected congressmen to present a series of proposals designed generate employment through greater overseas promotion of Peruvian products.
The head of Adex will also continue negotiations for the closure of the Peru-Central America and Peru-Venezuela Free Trade Agreements, as well as advancing discussions relating to the Transpacific Association Agreement.
Mr Varilias assumed the position of Adex president in April 2010 and since then the association said his role has been characterised by the development of overseas promotions of Peruvian exports.
