Giumarra Wenatchee has announced a new addition to its sales team, Gene Loudon, who boasts more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of the Northwest tree fruit industry, including conventional, organic, and sliced products.
'We are very excited to be adding Gene’s extensive industry knowledge and skills to our team,' said Jason Bushong, sales manager of Giumarra Wenatchee. 'He is a welcome addition to our continuously growing division.'
In his new position, Loudon will manage accounts in Giumarra’s North American customer base, specifically working to implement programmes in the apple and kiwifruit categories.
Giumarra Wenatchee markets apples, pears, and citrus grown in the Southern Hemisphere and US, as well as kiwifruit from New Zealand, Chile, Italy, and California.
The division recently expanded its pear operations in the Pacific Northwest to include D’Anjou, Bosc, Comice, and Taylor’s Gold varieties.
'Our recent domestic growth has helped fortify our position as a 12-month supplier of high quality apples and pears,' Bushong added.
