Valencia Chamber of Commerce honours Anecoop on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of its Polish subsidiary
Anecoop has been recognised for its commercial links to Poland at an event held by the Valencia Chamber of Commerce on Monday, at which Poland was a guest country. The honour coincides with the 25th anniversary of the launch of its subsidiary Anecoop Polska.
The opening of Anecoop Polska in 1999 was part of Anecoop’s strategy to expand the presence of its member cooperatives in countries that had just joined the European Union. Today, Anecoop is a major force in Eastern Europe, supplying customers from its state-of-the-art facilities in Swarzędz-Jasin.
Anecoop president Alejandro Monzón commented: “Anecoop Polska is an important link in our commercial and logistics network, which is unique in the sector. With subsidiaries in Europe, Asia and the US, it allows our partners, small and medium-sized farmers, to reach nearly 70 countries with their products”.
Diego Giménez, general manager of Anecoop Polska, said the division supplies the fruits, vegetables and wines of Anecoop’s cooperatives and partner companies to 18 commercial chains and has an annual turnover of more than €30m. “This is possible thanks to the involvement and commitment of our human team and the good work of our producer partners,” he noted.
