Spanish fresh produce group Anecoop’s Czech subsidiary, Anecoop Prague, has expanded both its offices and warehouse premises following solid sales growth in the country.
According to the Valencia-based company, Anecoop Prague increased its turnover by 19 per cent during the 2007/08 campaign compared with the year before, with total sales in the Czech Republic reaching €18m.
During the campaign, the subsidiary marketed over 25,000 tonnes of Spanish-sourced fruit and vegetables, the group said.
In response to the substantial increase in commercial activity, Anecoop said it had decided to expand the subsidiary’s existing facilities. Following the renovation, Anecoop Prague now has available 300m2 of offices and 980m2 of warehouse premises, including two new cold storage chambers and new packing machinery.
