A number of Andalusia’s leading fresh produce exporters, including major producer group Unica, are planning to visit one of London’s largest wholesale markets next month as part of a trade mission designed to increase the Spanish region's exports to the UK.
The Andalusian regional government’s Agency for External Promotion, Extenda, is organising a visit for exporters to London between 12-15 September, with the objective of promoting the region’s fruits and vegetables and boosting exports.
Alongside Unica Group, participants in the trip will include the Fundación Bahía Almeripor, an organisation which will be promoting services provided from Andalusia’s Port of Almería and seeking to secure new logistical solutions between southern Spain and the UK.
As well as staging meetings with importers and buyers, the trade mission will also encompass a visit to London’s New Spitalfields Market, the country’s largest wholesale market by turnover for fruits and vegetables.
